NTN Employees Volunteer at Schaumburg’s Spring Valley Nature Center
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – NTN Bearing Corporation of America is proud to share the story of our latest Community Spirit & Engagement Event at Spring Valley Nature Center in Schaumburg, Illinois. On Wednesday, October 22, a team of twelve dedicated NTN employees rolled up their sleeves and spent the morning enhancing the natural beauty of this beloved local preserve.

The volunteer group focused its efforts on trail maintenance, moving and spreading a significant amount of mulch throughout Spring Valley’s extensive 3.5-mile trail system. Their work helped improve trail accessibility and safety for the thousands of visitors who enjoy Spring Valley each year.
“We’re incredibly excited to be part of the Schaumburg community,” said Tom Mohrdieck, President and CEO of NTN Bearing Corporation of America. “This volunteer event at Spring Valley marks our first corporate citizenship initiative since relocating our headquarters here, and it’s a meaningful way for us to give back to a community that has welcomed us so warmly. Supporting Spring Valley and its mission to connect people with nature aligns perfectly with our Community Spirit & Engagement Program, which is all about making a positive impact where we live and work. It was a great opportunity to contribute to environmental stewardship while building camaraderie among our team.”
NTN’s Community Spirit & Engagement Program, launched in January 2023, reflects the company’s commitment to operating in a responsible and ethical manner while making a positive impact in the communities where we operate. The program’s goals include contributing time and resources to charitable organizations, encouraging employees to take an active role in the local community, and building partnerships with other groups and organizations.
Spring Valley Nature Center is a 135-acre refuge of forests, wetlands, and prairies, offering a peaceful escape and educational opportunities for nature lovers of all ages. The preserve is home to the Vera Meineke Nature Center and the Heritage Farm, a living history museum that recreates 1880s farm life. Spring Valley is maintained by the Schaumburg Park District and serves as a vital resource for environmental education and conservation in the community.
