NTN Releases a New Introductory Video Titled “How Bearings are Made” on YouTube

NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) is pleased to announce the release of a new introductory video, “How Bearings are Made,” now available on YouTube. This video was created to help a wide range of stakeholders—including customers, business partners, students, and the public—gain a deeper understanding of bearings, one of NTN’s core products.

The video showcases the production of NTN’s core product—bearings—through a combination of real footage from the manufacturing site and animations. It explores the secret behind the “smoothness” that reduces friction and contributes to energy efficiency, offering viewers a deeper understanding of the sophisticated technology and craftsmanship involved. Additionally, the video touches on the origins and applications of bearings, highlighting their long history of supporting industries and everyday life.

The Japanese version, which was previously released, has received widespread acclaim for its clear and engaging presentation of the bearing manufacturing process, having enthusiastic feedback from viewers who commented:

  • “I never realized how much advanced technology and intricate processes go into something that looks so simple.”
  • “The realistic scenes from the factory conveyed the depth of manufacturing!”
  • “The use of animation made even complex processes easy to understand.”

NTN continues to share the value of bearings that reduce friction and contribute to energy efficiency, as part of its commitment to realizing a sustainable “NAMERAKA Society,” and our manufacturing expertise cultivated over more than a century, with communication tools such as this video.
