On March 26, Cory Welch, Assistant Manager of Engineering & Maintenance, had the honor of serving as a judge for the engineering finale of C4 students at Columbus North High School. Six student groups were challenged to design a factory cell for different manufacturing processes.

On April 8, Derek Scherer, IT Operations Lead, along with interns Evan Nesbitt and Vidhi Patel, organized a tabling event at Ivy Tech Columbus. They were able to connect with students regarding NTN, the IT field, and the upcoming Fall Internship Program.

On April 16th, Luvia Hesser, HRBP, and Billie Banuelos, HRBP, participated in the DAV Recruit Veterans event at the Indianapolis Veterans Job Fair. They connected with more than 350 veterans, sharing information about the various opportunities available at NTN.

On April 22, a dedicated group of 23 volunteers spent about two hours cleaning Highway 58. They gathered around 622 pounds of trash and debris.

On April 29, Luvia Hesser, HRBP, and Nancy Rendon, HR Generalist, participated in Career Day at Columbus North High School. They then attended the Career Day at Columbus East High School the following day, on April 30th. Through these events, they interacted with more than 1,000 students. The students were encouraged to inquire about NTN, while Luvia and Nancy provided valuable insights into the opportunities available at NTN.

On May 12, six volunteers came together to assist an elderly woman in Jackson County by cleaning, sanding, and painting her porch to create a safer and more comfortable living environment.

On May 15, fourteen volunteers spent the day at the “Foundation for Youth” – a center for youth development and community support-  in Bartholomew County. They split into two groups to build playground equipment and work on landscaping and gardening. In total, they volunteered for about eight hours.

John Tyma retires after 34 years of service with NTN, most recently serving as National Account Manager for Heavy‑Duty Truck markets. Throughout his distinguished career, Tyma built a reputation for expanding NTN’s heavy‑duty presence through strategic customer partnerships and market development. His experience spans across NTN’s industrial, heavy‑duty truck, and automotive aftermarket sectors, and he played a pivotal role in securing major national accounts and opening new markets for NTN and its Bower Heavy‑Duty Bearings product line.

NTN welcomes Alan Dick, who joins the organization as National Sales Manager for NTN’s heavy‑duty aftermarket, filling the role vacated by Tyma. Dick brings deep leadership experience across the automotive aftermarket, electric vehicle, and component manufacturing markets and was appointed to his new role in November 2025. He holds an MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a Master of Science in Economics from Oklahoma State University.
